While promoting her new thriller movie “Mother!,” Jennifer Lawrence comments on the current hurricanes, calling them “Mother Nature’s Wrath.” Her new movie will arrive in cinemas on September 15th.
Jennifer Lawrence, during an interview for her new movie “Mother!,” commented on the current hurricanes wreaking havoc in the US and calls them “Mother Nature’s wrath.”
She commented on the general political state of her country as well, saying: “It’s scary. It’s this new language that’s forming that I don’t even recognize.”
“It’s really polarizing and upsetting. I’ve heard things and seen things on TV in my own country that devastate me and make me sick. It’s just really confusing.”
She then said that it was difficult for her to promote her movie during Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. She said: “It’s also scary to know that climate change is due to human activity and we continue to ignore it,” she said. “You’re watching these hurricanes now and it’s hard…not to feel Mother Nature’s wrath.”
Lawrence’s new movie “Mother!” will be hitting theatres on September 15th this year.
Her Comments On Donald Trump?
She also commented on the recent elections, saying that they were “startling.” When the interviewer asked her if Donald Trump confuses her, she surprisingly said: “I don’t find Donald Trump confusing. I think I know exactly what he is.”
Lawrence had also campaigned for then Sec. of State Hilary Clinton. After Trump won the elections, she also wrote a letter expressing her feelings about the results. She said: “Do not let this defeat you – let this enrage you! Let it motivate you! Let this be the fire you didn’t have before. If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of color, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman — don’t be afraid, be loud!”’
