Prince George, Kate Middleton and Duke William’s four-year-old son, attends his “first day of school” on Thursday.
His First Day
On Thursday, Duke William took his four-year-old son to school, as his pregnant mother stayed home due to acute morning sickness.
The little prince wore the school’s uniform- a red-accented navy sweater, light-blue blouse, and navy shorts- as he and his father greeted the school headteacher, Helen Haslem.
The school principal, Ben Thomas, insisted that the Prince would be treated just like all other pupils. He said the first few “half days” would give Duke William “just enough time to get home and recover, have a cup of coffee” before he had to come pick him up again.
He said: “There won’t be any special treatment at all. In fact what his parents would like for him, as any parent would like for their child, is they have a wonderful, fulfilling and private childhood in a place which is secure.”
“We want him to have the confidence to be himself with all his quirks and idiosyncrasies and characteristics.”
Kate Middleton had recently announced that she is now pregnant, soon to add a third child to their family. Unfortunately, she had to stay home as she suffered from morning sickness- which she had battled while she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Because of her condition, earlier in the week, she also had to cancel her appearance at “Hornsey Road Children’s Centre.”
Comments On Kate’s Pregnancy
Duke William commented on the pregnancy news, after he had spoken at the “National Mental Health and Policing Conference” on Tuesday, saying: “There’s not much sleep going on at the moment.”
He said that they had started “celebrating this week,” while noting, “it was a bit anxious to start with.”
