She’s now one of the most in-demand models in the world. But, Ashley Graham, who has shot to fame for showing off her curves, has now revealed that she hated her body when she was a teenager.
The model, who is one of the judges on America’s Next Top Model, also talked about her cellulite. She said that it did not define her worth and that needed to be told to younger girls who could have body confidence issues.
Ugly and disgusting
Showing off her body in a mesh crop top and nothing else, Ashley said in an interview that she vividly remembers cellulite developing when she was in middle school. She spoke to her mother about it, saying how ugly and disgusting she thought it was.
However, her mom simply pulled down her own pants and showed her that she had it too. She told her it was normal for women to have cellulite.
Ashley also spoke about trying to make it in the modelling world. She remembers being told that she was too fat and too ugly to make it in the modelling world. At the age of 18, she told her mom that she could not take it anymore and that she was going to come home.
